Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a Primary School setting. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Class Teacher to deliver the National Curriculum and provide individualized support to students with varying needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1-1 support to children with SEN in a Primary School setting
  • Assist the Class Teacher with the planning and delivery of the National Curriculum
  • Work closely with children with varying needs, including ASD, ADHD, and Speech and Language Disorders
  • Help manage challenging behavior in line with the school's policies
  • Support students in Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), and Early Years (EYFS)
  • Promote social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) development
Requirements
  • To hold a Level 2 or Level 3 teaching assistant qualification
  • Previous UK school experience is essential
  • Experience working with SEN children, particularly those with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and its application in KS1, KS2, and EYFS
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting both the Class Teacher and the students
