About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analytical Chemist to join our team at RPS Group. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing trace organic analysis on a wide range of samples and matrices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform trace organic analysis on a wide range of samples and matrices, following established procedures and quality control requirements.
  • Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with company policy and follow company Quality Policy.
  • Collaborate with extraction staff to ensure samples are prepared for analysis according to customer requirements.
  • Raise QC queries and non-conforming work as needed.

Requirements

  • BSc in Chemistry or closely related subject or equivalent industrial experience.
  • Demonstrable experience working within an accredited analytical testing laboratory, ideally within the environmental or food sectors.
  • Flexibility in analytical approach and ability to cope with high throughput and varied analysis in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using Agilent Chemstation and Masshunter software and Microsoft Office is desirable.
