Job Title: Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Specialist to join our team at the NHS. The successful candidate will provide specialist nursing care, advice, guidance, and leadership to our patients and staff.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based nursing care.
  • Provide expert advice and clinical practice to patients and staff.
  • Work autonomously and manage own workload as a lead specialist in their area.
  • Provide specialist education and training to staff.
  • Lead and manage a team of specialist nurses.
  • Work collaboratively and co-operatively with clinical colleagues to develop services and the quality of care delivered.
  • Lead the development and planning of clinical services within the specialist field.
  • Demonstrate the Health Board's values and ensure that others demonstrate the same values.
  • Undertake clinical activity, such as clinics, ward-based work, telephone consultations, etc.
  • Undertake professional activity, such as audit, CPD, teaching, research, and administration.
Key Requirements:
  • MSc Advanced Practice
  • Welsh Speaking
  • Evidence of further Clinical Education
  • Community Experience as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner
  • The ability to travel between sites in a timely manner
  • Relevant Study Days/Membership - relevant associations pertinent to the role
