Supporting SEND Student Progress in a Primary School

A SEN Teaching Assistant is required at a primary school in Greenwich to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The role involves working one-to-one and in small groups with students, providing in-class support and assisting teachers in planning lessons tailored to the students' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the SEND team to develop strategies for supporting students with various needs;
- Liaise with teachers to understand student learning objectives and contribute to lesson planning;
- Provide direct support to students with complex needs, including those requiring 1:1 attention;
- Assist teachers in identifying areas of need and developing individualized plans;
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation;
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with children across EYFS, Reception, KS1, KS2, or KS3;
- Familiarity with supporting students with a range of SEND and SEMH needs;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm in challenging situations;
