Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of catering operations across multiple international locations. This role involves developing and implementing detailed logistics plans, coordinating the movement of catering supplies and equipment, and managing the risk register and contingency planning.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement logistics plans for the transportation, storage, and setup of catering equipment and supplies.
  2. Coordinate the movement of catering supplies, equipment, and staff between different venues.
  3. Manage the international transport of food, equipment, and other necessary materials.
  4. Oversee the setup and breakdown of catering facilities, including mobile kitchens and dining areas.
  5. Manage on-site logistics, including catering schedules, staff deployment, and resource availability.
  6. Ensure equipment is properly maintained, stored, and transported to prevent damage or loss.
  7. Monitor and manage inventory levels, forecasting and ordering necessary supplies based on event needs and client requirements.
  8. Implement inventory control systems to track usage.
  9. Coordinate with local and international suppliers to secure high-quality ingredients and services.
  10. Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor the performance of logistics personnel.
  11. Provide ongoing training and support to staff to enhance their skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
  12. Develop and manage the logistics budget.
  13. Ensure all logistics operations comply with local and international health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably within the hospitality or events industry.
  2. Ability to travel to multiple locations when the role requires it.
  3. A deep understanding of the logistics demands within an international sports environment.
  4. Experience in international logistics and event management, with a proven track record of managing complex operations.
  5. Familiarity with catering operations and the specific demands of high-performance environments.
