Learning Support Assistant

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a leading provider of Education & Support in Lancaster. The successful candidate will be supporting and supervising learners with complex needs, including visual impairments, hearing impairments, mobility issues, and complex health or social needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting learners in classroom environments, assisting in accessing the community, and participating in activities to help develop life skills
- Providing personal care where necessary
- Working with learners in small groups and/or working 1:1
- Working in accordance with the school's behaviour management policies
Requirements:
- At least 3 months' experience of working with young people in schools or childcare settings
- Experience within an SEN setting would be beneficial
- Comfortable supporting young people with personal care
- Basic Sign language or Makaton would be an advantage
