Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Randstad Construction & Property. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

About the Role:

  • Manage the financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and services, ensuring that they are sourced at the best possible prices.
  • Manage the variation account, including the negotiation of changes to the original contract.
  • Ensure that all financial reporting is accurate and up-to-date, including the preparation of regular financial reports for clients and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Bid and Estimating teams to develop and manage project bids, ensuring that they are financially viable and meet the client's requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results.
  • Proficient in the use of financial software and systems, including budgeting and forecasting tools.
