About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Asset Management Specialist to join our IT Optimization team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development of centralized processes for the management of technology software assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and optimize effective license positions for major complex vendors.
  • Develop and maintain Asset Management tooling and databases.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of vendor compliance.
  • Develop optimized vendor license positions.

You will work closely with the wider Asset Management Team to correctly identify software products within the Vitality estate. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Process Proof of Entitlement to manually match to applications, where automatic reconciliation is not possible.
  • Reviewing and importing new purchase information from third-party systems into SAM tooling.
  • Qualifying and verifying all data sources required for SAM processing.
Essential Skills
  • Delivery of effective license positions within a Software Asset Management capacity for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Good working knowledge of complex licensing for at least one major vendor such as Microsoft, Oracle.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and associated licensing models.
  • Experience analyzing and preparing effective license positions.
  • In-depth experience with at least one SAM tool (e.g. Snow, Flexera, License Optimizer, Xensam).
