Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Travelex. As a key member of our Compliance and Risk function, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain OSH policy, arrangements, and procedures in line with country legislation globally.
  • Consult and collaborate with managers and operational teams to establish and maintain a positive H&S culture and continual improvement within their areas of responsibility.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise to ensure a safe working environment for our people, customers, and visitors.
  • Produce concise and accurate H&S risk assessments, reports, and recommendations in line with the programme agreed with the Group Risk Director.
  • Maintain and update H&S policy, procedures, and training material.
  • Ensure all regulatory reporting is completed to time and accuracy.
  • Monitor and evaluate new or changing H&S legislation and its potential impact on the business.
  • Develop sound professional working relationships with Operations colleagues, business staff, and management globally.
  • Provide coaching and SME support to front-line teams and other business support functions where a need is identified.
Requirements
  • Professionally qualified, e.g., NEBOSH diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Demonstrable experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of H&S policy and framework across a multi-faceted business.
  • Demonstrable investigative and claims management experience.
  • Excellent report writing and drafting ability, able to adapt styles to the target audience.
  • High level of discretion and able to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
  • Experience of carrying out H&S site and fire risk assessments.
  • Commercial acumen able to balance risks with a business perspective.
