About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Medicines Management Assistant to join our team at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective management of medicines across our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of Medicines Management Technicians and Pharmacists to carry out near bedside dispensing, patient interview and counselling for discharge.
  • Contribute to the governance of medicines through regular audits and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with ward-based teams to develop and implement effective medicines management strategies.
  • Utilize automation technologies, such as the ROWA robot and automated storage cabinets, to streamline medicines management processes.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy
  • Significant experience in hospital pharmacy, with a strong understanding of customer care services and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and patients.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
