Respiratory Medicine Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Medicine Specialist to join our team at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust.
As a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with respiratory conditions, including conducting outpatient clinics, general respiratory ward rounds, and teaching junior medical staff.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of clinical service delivery, service improvement, teaching, training, and research experience. You will be skilled in Endoscopic Bronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) or willing to undertake training in this procedure.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide a comprehensive Outpatient service and good interventional skills for the delivery of Bronchoscopy and EBUS procedural sessions.
- To assist in the future development of Medical Thoracoscopy, if desired.
- To participate as part of personal CPD development the involvement in local and national quality improvement projects.
- To have responsibility for ensuring a commitment to maintaining a high quality of service to patients.
- To actively participate in CPD and personal development plans.
- To undertake Saturday respiratory ward round on a rotational basis with other Respiratory consultants.

Requirements
- Basic Medical Degree (eg MBBS)
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (Proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview), European Community Rights or CESR, Evidence of Higher Specialist Training in Upper GI/General Surgery (or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview)
- Professional Registration and licensable to Practice
