About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and inclusive primary school in Knowsley. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality care and education to our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Work with small groups or individual children to promote learning and development, including literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Assist in the preparation of resources and learning materials for EYFS activities, including both indoor and outdoor learning.
  • Promote children's emotional, social, and physical development by fostering a caring and nurturing environment.
  • Observe and record children's progress and development, and support the teacher in assessing and adapting lessons as needed.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning space that meets the needs of all pupils, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Support children during lunchtime, break periods, and other school activities as required.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including liaising with parents and carers to support pupils' well-being and development.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, with a focus on EYFS.
  • Previous experience working in an EYFS setting is essential.
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude towards working with young children.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and an understanding of child development.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children in line with school policies.
