## Job Title: Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant

## Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and inclusive primary school in Knowsley. As a key member of our dedicated team, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality care and education to our young learners.

## Key Responsibilities:

* Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the EYFS framework.
* Work with small groups or individual children to promote learning and development, including literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
* Assist in the preparation of resources and learning materials for EYFS activities, including both indoor and outdoor learning.
* Promote children's emotional, social, and physical development by fostering a caring and nurturing environment.
* Observe and record children's progress and development, and support the teacher in assessing and adapting lessons as needed.
* Ensure a safe and inclusive learning space that meets the needs of all pupils, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
* Support children during lunchtime, break periods, and other school activities as required.

## Requirements:

* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, with a focus on EYFS.
* Previous experience working in an EYFS setting is essential.
* A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude towards working with young children.
* Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and an understanding of child development.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children in line with school policies.
