As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, driving revenue optimization strategies, and providing insightful guidance to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Revenue Recognition Management: Develop and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures in compliance with relevant accounting standards, collaborate with cross-functional teams to address revenue recognition complexities, and ensure monthly reconciliation of revenue accounting ledgers is complete and balances.
  • Gross Margin Analytics for Professional Services: Analyze gross margin performance for professional services engagements, develop and implement robust reporting and analysis tools to track gross margin trends, and partner with Professional Services leadership to optimize pricing strategies and resource allocation.
  • Sales Metrics and Performance Analysis: Establish and monitor key sales performance indicators to track the effectiveness of sales and delivery strategies, analyze sales and delivery data to identify trends and opportunities, and provide regular reports and presentations to executive leadership on sales performance and forecast accuracy.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Lead the development of revenue forecasts and budgets based on historical data, market trends, and business projections, work closely with Sales and Finance teams to validate sales forecasts, and monitor actual performance against forecasts and budgets.
  • Process Improvement and Compliance: Continuously assess and enhance revenue accounting processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, and stay abreast of regulatory changes and accounting standards updates related to revenue recognition.
Requirements:
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified accountant.
  • Extensive experience in revenue accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a software or technology company.
  • In-depth knowledge of revenue recognition principles, including IFRS15, and experience applying them in a software/SaaS environment.
  • Solid proven understanding in tax compliance and optimisation through distribution agreements and transfer pricing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices in revenue accounting.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting techniques, and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce Kimble).
