Teaching Assistant - EYFS

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum within our Reception class. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and continuous provision, and how it can enhance learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the teaching staff in delivering the EYFS curriculum within the Reception class.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of activities within continuous provision.
  • Work closely with the teaching staff to implement educational activities and monitor student progress.
  • Engage with children to facilitate learning and development through play and structured activities.
  • Utilise the phonics scheme to support literacy development.
  • Adapt to the varying needs of the children and the classroom environment.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating educational setting for the children.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum is essential.
  • Good understanding of continuous provision and its impact on learning.
  • Proactive and able to take initiative within the classroom setting.
  • Knowledge of teaching systematic synthetic phonics scheme is desirable.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the children and the school.
