About the Role

The Goodman Masson team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Client Onboarding Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in enhancing the client onboarding experience by managing the process internally and serving as a centre of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Onboarding Oversight: Provide oversight and control at all stages of the client onboarding journey, facing off internally with all areas of the business and with clients directly to guide them through their onboarding journey.
  • Data Management: Maintain control of client static data to ensure its accuracy at both onboarding and throughout the client relationship, considering the knock-on effects of data changes within systems from a data-hygiene and regulatory perspective.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and specify improvements to work areas, both procedural and IT-based, and work with project resources to implement these.
  • Project Management: Work on and manage projects as required within areas that touch upon our responsibilities, including data cleansing and process improvement.
  • Team Support: Offer guidance and assistance to more junior members of the team and wider business when required.
Requirements
  • Technical Knowledge: Sound technical knowledge and experience in all areas of client take on for Private Clients, Private Client structures, and Charities, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within an Asset or Wealth Manager.
  • Industry Experience: Experience onboarding into a Financial Planning environment would be advantageous.
  • Compliance: A working understanding of Anti Money-Laundering and compliance requirements.
  • Tax Reporting: Awareness of global tax reporting standards, specifically CRS and FATCA.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of the US QI Regulations, specifically w-series forms, and other regulations (MiFiD II, Transaction reporting, RDR, etc).
  • Technical Skills: High standard of computer literacy required to support development and maintenance of onboarding workflow tool (training provided).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Communication: Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, to speak with clients and staff at all levels.
