We are seeking an enthusiastic graduate eager to support primary and secondary-aged students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs (SEMH), as well as Behavioural Difficulties. This role is based in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) serving children who have been excluded from mainstream education or require extra support beyond traditional school settings.
The main objective of the PRU is to reintegrate students into mainstream education. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans for students, providing emotional support and encouragement to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Possess a strong passion for continuous learning and wholehearted commitment.
- Demonstrate a desire for a career in education.
- Show resilience, determination, and dedication, recognizing the challenges of the role but finding it ultimately rewarding.
- Previous experience working with SEND children or managing Behavioural Difficulties is advantageous.
