Think FE Ltd is seeking an exceptional Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Lecturer at a college in Derby, West Midlands. As a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering the subject to full and part-time students, developing an inclusive and diverse curriculum, and creating a positive and inspirational learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
- Develop and implement an inclusive and diverse curriculum that meets the needs of students and employers.
- Produce suitable and sufficient course materials for effective delivery of the curriculum.
- Create a positive and inspirational learning environment that encourages high aspiration and achievement.
- Assess student work in a fair and timely manner, providing constructive feedback to support student progress.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement departmental and institutional strategies.
Requirements:
- Hold a Mechanical Engineering HNC/D or higher qualification.
- Have a strong education background, ideally with experience working with young adults.
- Be able to demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to student success.
- Be able to work effectively in a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of £35/hour.
- 37.5 hours per week, with a range of benefits including annual leave, pension, and additional benefits.
