North London NHS Foundation Trust is committed to delivering high-quality mental health care across North London. We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Islington Learning Disabilities Partnership (ILDP) team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist assessment and treatment to adults with learning disabilities and additional complex needs. The role involves working closely with colleagues to maintain the Occupational Therapy pathway within the Transition Service at ILDP, ensuring seamless support for individuals transitioning from child to adult services.

The post holder will have a key role in assessing learning disability in our transition age cohort, as well as adults, and contributing to carrying out autism assessments for people with learning disabilities. They will also work on Behaviours of Concern, Mental Health, and Dementia pathways, collaborating with partners to offer training and consultation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing highly specialist assessment and treatment to adults with learning disabilities and additional complex needs
  • Maintaining the Occupational Therapy pathway within the Transition Service at ILDP
  • Assessing learning disability in our transition age cohort and adults
  • Contributing to carrying out autism assessments for people with learning disabilities
  • Working on Behaviours of Concern, Mental Health, and Dementia pathways
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £54,320 to £60,981 per annum, inclusive of HCAS. Our benefits package includes generous annual leave, NHS pension scheme, and excellent internal staff network.

Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Evidence of Post Graduate or equivalent specialist training in areas of practice relevant to the post
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist
