Reliability Maintenance Specialist

At Amazon, we're committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team plays a vital role in ensuring our equipment operates at peak performance, maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to minimize disruption.
- Collaborate with senior colleagues to undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks, including painting and plumbing, and liaise with contractors as needed.
- Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects, identifying and implementing best practices across Amazon's global network of fulfillment centers.
A typical day in this role involves working on-site, responding quickly to machinery issues, and carrying out planned preventative maintenance to ensure our sites' equipment operates safely and efficiently. You'll also have opportunities to suggest long-term improvements and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve our goals.
About the TeamOur Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is a dynamic and diverse group of professionals who share a passion for maintaining and improving our equipment. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network, ensuring that Amazon's operations run smoothly and efficiently.
From installing automated packaging systems to overseeing the general maintenance of a site, our team handles a wide range of technical tasks. We often work during early or late hours to carry out maintenance with minimal disruption, including night shifts.
Requirements- NVQ Level 3 (or international equivalent) in an engineering discipline or another practical engineering qualification.
- Relevant experience as a qualified engineer, preferably in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
- Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing.
