Job Summary:As a Maintenance Engineer, you will provide technical support across our Packaging and Distribution sites. Your primary focus will be on equipment and process support to ensure efficient maintenance and repair of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to requests for assistance, investigate issues, and implement solutions or identify next steps.
- Record all changes made to processes or reasons for repair using established methods.
- Arrange for investigation or resolution by other engineers or external contractors as needed.
- Identify suitable suppliers for non-stock replacement parts and confirm specifications and availability.
- Perform planned maintenance tasks, run equipment to confirm functionality, and apply stickers to confirm maintenance completion.
- Provide training for operators to perform routine maintenance activities safely and efficiently.
- Monitor production activity to ensure safety guards, interlocks, and fixtures are in place and functioning correctly.
- Offer specialist knowledge and support to project and production engineering teams during new and existing project design phases.
- Wear appropriate protective clothing, including facemasks and gloves, as required.
- Handle materials under COSHH guidelines.
- Climb ladders, work in enclosed spaces, and kneel to perform maintenance tasks.
