Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Risk Governance Specialist to join our team in London.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading financial institution and contribute to the success of our Risk Management function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the production of monthly risk governance reports to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Assist the Risk Committee secretary in coordinating meetings, maintaining action logs, and ensuring compliance with governance procedures.
  • Perform independent reviews of risk topics to ensure robustness and quality of outputs.
  • Liaise with Group Governance and Office of the Chief Risk Officer functions to maintain consistency with reporting requirements.
  • Respond to audit and regulatory requests from stakeholders to provide evidence and support.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of financial risk management principles and practices, with relevant experience in first-line risk & control roles, second-line risk functions, governance, or audit.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a desire to work collaboratively within the 3 lines of defense (3LoD) model.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex content into simple messaging for senior audiences.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in handling multiple tasks, excellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure dynamic environment, with gravitas to challenge senior stakeholders to obtain optimal risk management outcomes.
