About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Risk Specialist to join our team in London, responsible for managing financial product governance within a major bank. This role will involve overseeing risk management and approval processes for amendments to the product perimeter and new complex transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day risk management and escalation of issues within the risk management and approval processes.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of financial products, including breach investigation, conditions, dormancy, and systematic product reviews.
  • Evaluate and escalate breaches of prescribed requirements for changes to financial product perimeters and/or new non-vanilla transactions.
  • Report relevant data to regional business management and highlight key data points of interest.
Your Skills and Experience
  • You have experience in financial product governance within a major bank or similar role within financial services.
  • You possess comprehensive understanding of transactions and financial products offered by Tier 1 investment banks, along with supporting infrastructure and controls.
  • You have experience working with senior stakeholders in high-pressure environments and can identify opportunities for automation and streamlining.
