Senior Forensic Psychologist

The Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly experienced and enthusiastic Practitioner Psychologist to work in a senior role within the Forensic Intensive Recovery and Support Team (FIRST). We are looking for a Practitioner Psychologist who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of people who have experienced forensic inpatient services and is committed to the development and delivery of a high-quality, psychologically informed service and pathway.
Main Duties of the JobThe successful candidate will provide a highly specialist psychology service to service users supported by FIRST and ensure the community forensic service overall is of the highest quality. They will provide highly specialist psychological advice, guidance, and consultation to other professionals to ensure effective decisions are made about interventions, risk management plans, and future care pathways for service users in forensic inpatient services, including out-of-area placements, and in the community with FIRST.
The role will involve working within the Forensic Directorate inpatient wards, community services, residential placements, and custodial settings, as required. The successful candidate will be expected to possess a thorough working knowledge of these processes and pathways and show confidence in communicating complex information effectively.
