Job Description:

The S Guest Consultancy Services Ltd is seeking a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their team in their busy South Staffs office. As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts with suppliers and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities and schedules of rates
  • Evaluate bids from suppliers and contractors, ensuring that they meet the company's requirements and specifications
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and contractors, ensuring that the company's interests are protected
  • Assist in the administration of construction projects, including the preparation of progress reports and the coordination of site visits

Requirements:

  • BTEC, HNC/HND, or Degree in a construction-related or QS qualification
  • Day Release or on-the-job training
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
