About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Mecca Bingo in Luton as a Chef - Weekends Only. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest levels of quality and safety in food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food to the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Work efficiently to minimize food wastage and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Ensure all daily and weekly food safety checks are completed and due diligence record keeping is up to date
  • Support a productive and efficient working environment and work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ensure the kitchen is always kept to the highest levels of cleanliness and tidiness
  • Report any accidents or near misses through the correct Mecca channels
  • Uphold the company's commitment to the protection of young and vulnerable people, in accordance with the company's responsible gambling policy and procedures

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a culinary or food preparation setting
  • Flexible in working shifts and as per business requirements
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety guidelines
