Are you an experienced SENDCO looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to work on a 3-day basis in a school in Bury. The successful candidate will have the National SENCo award or prior experience as SENDCO in a primary setting. They will be responsible for supporting children with EHCP plans and working closely with class teachers to understand how they can effectively support these pupils.

About the Job

This part-time SENDCO role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of how to secure progress and improve outcomes for all pupils. They will also have experience planning and delivering provision for a wide range of specific needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement intervention programs to raise levels of attainment
  • Support colleagues to develop their practice
  • Liaise effectively with a range of agencies
Requirements
  • Hold the National SENCo award or have prior experience as SENDCO in the primary setting
  • Be an integral part of the Senior Leadership team
  • Have an excellent understanding of how to secure progress and improve outcomes for all pupils
  • Have experience planning and delivering provision for a wide range of specific needs
  • Be able to effectively implement an intervention program to raise levels of attainment
  • Have experience of effectively supporting colleagues to develop their practice
  • Have the knowledge and skills to liaise effectively with a range of agencies
What We Offer
  • An estimated salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per year, depending on experience
