We are recruiting for a talented Primary SENCO to join our school community. As SENDCO, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all pupils have access to the support they need to succeed.

About the Job

You will work closely with class teachers to identify children who require additional support, and develop effective plans to ensure their needs are met. You will also be responsible for monitoring progress, inputting data, and maintaining up-to-date records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with class teachers to identify children with additional needs
  • Develop and implement Individual Educational Plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers
  • Collaborate with external agencies to secure additional support
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of pupil progress
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of SEND policy and practice
  • An ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • An empathetic approach to supporting pupils with complex needs
Benefits
