Pharmacy Department Head

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy General Manager to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the pharmacy department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services within budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the pharmacy department and ensure the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services within budget constraints.
- Support the implementation and management of systems and processes to ensure all pharmacy services are delivered in accordance with care group, site, and trust objectives and policies.
- Manage the operational management of both the pharmacy admin and clerical staff and the Homecare pharmacy administrative team, ensuring that national standards and governance arrangements are in place for all medicines supplied via this route.
- Oversee and manage pharmacy contracts and service level agreements, advising management and supervising the implementation of contracts for optimal efficiency and benefits.
- Lead change management programmes within the care group and across the Site and wider Trust.
- Manage service improvement projects within the care group.
- Ensure that financial obligations are met and that care group staff work within defined budget parameters.
- Monitor compliance with workforce policies and procedures.
- Develop and manage the implementation of systems and control processes for compliance with clinical governance standards.
- Manage the resolution of complaints and issues from patients and staff.
- Master's degree in pharmacy, healthcare, or management.
- First Degree and/or equivalent senior management experience.
- Evidence of maintaining continuous professional development.
- Prince 2 or other Project management experience.
- Significant management experience in a senior role within the acute sector.
- Experience of managing strategic and operational performance.
- Proven record of financial management at senior level.
