Job Title: Pharmacy General Manager

About the Role:

The Pharmacy General Manager is a key leadership position within the pharmacy department at Kings College Hospital. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring that all services are delivered in accordance with Trust objectives and policies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Performance Management:
  • Responsible for overseeing and managing pharmacy contracts and service level agreements.
  • Responsible for the operational management of the Homecare pharmacy administrative team.
  • Role model positive leadership behaviours by living the Trust's values and visibly leading on promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the job role.

Person Specification:

  • Master's degree in pharmacy, healthcare or management.
  • First Degree and/or equivalent senior management experience.
  • Evidence of maintaining continuous professional development.
  • Prince 2 or other Project management experience.
  • Registered healthcare professional.

Experience:

  • Significant management experience in a senior role within the acute sector.
  • Experience of managing strategic and operational performance in achieving key targets.
  • Proven record of financial management at senior level, delivering on complex and large budgets.
