About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Hepatologist to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our hepatology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical care to patients with liver and biliary disorders
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Conduct research and audits to improve patient outcomes and service delivery
- Supervise and train junior medical staff
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to departmental decision-making
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders
Requirements
- Eligibility for specialist registration with the General Medical Council
- Experience in hepatology or a related field
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
