Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Calibration Technician to join our client, a leading life science biopharma manufacturer in the South East, UK. This contract role will involve performing calibration of assets, routine maintenance of plant equipment, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform calibration of assets to ensure correct functionality and accuracy
  2. Routine maintenance of plant equipment, utilities, and buildings, including troubleshooting
  3. Eradicate recurring faults by identifying and addressing the root cause
  4. Fully adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements and internal safety procedures
  5. Identify cost-saving opportunities and present them to management, including competitive tenders on quotations and parts
  6. Achieve calibration targets and goals
  7. Maintain and optimize calibration and maintenance standards
  8. Train on changes to systems or procedures
  9. Carry out calibration, preventative & predictive maintenance, and troubleshooting with minimal supervision
  10. Author detailed documentation for operation and maintenance of manufacturing systems and utilities
  11. Coordinate and supervise outside vendors for calibration, including purchasing orders and risk assessments
  12. Interpret technical drawings and specifications
  13. Stay up-to-date with technical advancements and current good practice
  14. Demonstrate commitment to quality management systems per MHRA, FDA, ISO, and other regulatory agencies
