Lead Occupational Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Occupational Therapist to join our team at Jupiter Recruitment. As a key member of our mental health services, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the effective operation of the Occupational Therapy Service, ensuring seamless delivery of care.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of multi-disciplinary therapeutic patient activity programs across the hospital.
  • Provide clinical support and professional supervision to the occupational therapy team.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice to enhance patient recovery and sense of wellbeing through occupation.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to maintain links with community activities and patient social inclusion programs.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the service, aligning with Care Quality Commission, Governance, National Care Standards, and Professional Specific Agendas.
  • Maintain a clinical case load.
Requirements:
  • Experience of supervising or line managing staff.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Proven experience of leading and facilitating individual/group sessions.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience of working in mental health (ideally within an inpatient setting).
