Job Summary:
Universal Business Team is seeking a skilled and experienced Welder Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for conducting various welding tasks to construct and repair tank components and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of welding techniques, including MIG welding, to ensure high-quality results.
- Work with various types and thicknesses of steel, including 2mm mild steel, to meet project requirements.
- Construct and repair steel storage tanks, ranging from 500ltrs to 80,000 litres, to meet customer specifications.
- Set up and operate welding equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Inspect welded joints and structures to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform grinding, cutting, and other metal fabrication tasks as needed to support project requirements.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to accurately complete welding projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Welder in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG welding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
