McArthurGlen Group, a leading retail property developer and manager, is seeking a skilled Facilities Coordinator to join its dynamic team at the York centre.

As a key member of the facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the centre, managing day-to-day activities, and resolving issues promptly under the guidance of the Centre Manager. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the facilities budget and contributing to business planning to optimize costs and protect the asset.
  • Developing and implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Supporting risk management, disaster recovery, and sustainability initiatives to minimize environmental impact.
  • Maintaining close relationships with tenants and ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Organizing fire drills, first aid training, and participating in the Duty Manager rota.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Fluent English: written and spoken.
  • Relevant legislative knowledge and qualifications (health and safety, security, etc.).
  • IOSH or NEBOSH (or other relevant country-specific qualifications).
  • Proven property services management experience, within a customer-facing environment, with retail or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of risk and security management, environmental/sustainability experience, and excellent communication skills.
  • Confident working with numbers, including budgeting, and MS Office skills: Intermediate Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
