Job Summary

The Night Receptionist will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient guest experience during the night shift. This includes attending to guest needs promptly and professionally, updating guest information, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all guests are attended to promptly and efficiently in a professional manner.
  • Update guest information using Guest History.
  • Action all diary events flags and specials.
  • Pass on all guest mail messages and parcels promptly.
  • Liaise closely with Housekeeping on room and lost property information.
  • Be aware of daily worksheets and ensure they are used.
  • Complete guest registration forms correctly and update the computer accordingly.
  • Ensure accurate account postings and necessary paperwork.
  • Perform an accurate cashiering balance at the end of shifts.
  • Maintain security procedures according to policy.
  • Complete Express Check out envelopes.
  • Maintain security boxes and run them within security procedures.
  • Report any safety hazards in the area.
  • Handle all complaints promptly and efficiently.
  • Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform any other duties requested by the Night Manager.
  • Provide a correct welcome to all callers and guests.
  • Offer Guest Valet Parking if required.
  • Complete all audit tasks as specified by the Night Auditors checklist.
  • Answer all incoming calls promptly.
  • Distribute reports.
  • Handle all cash and credit with related paperwork.
  • Assist all staff members with their inquiries and seek assistance if the answer is not known.
  • Process wake-up calls.
  • Pass on necessary information to the oncoming shift.
  • Report any failures or inconsistencies noticed during the shift to the Night Manager.
  • Demonstrate competency in all duties required for the position as outlined in the relevant Award/Agreement/Contract.
Requirements

This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on providing exceptional guest service.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working night shifts. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
