Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality management information to pillar management and the UL Group finance function. This will involve supporting the delivery of a reliable Management accounting service to the business, ensuring all internal and external accounting and reporting requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the provision of divisional management information in line with Group and pillar MD requirements.
- Support the Financial Controller in various tasks, including month-end reporting, journal preparation, and contract accounting.
- Process monthly contract accounting and allocate costs correctly to projects.
- Ensure costing accuracy and labour allocations, staff utilisation.
- Oversee overhead reporting and ageing WIP analysis.
- Support budgeting and re-forecasting activities.
- Assist with tenders and business planning as required.
- Balance Sheet reconciliations for ULPS, ULN, ULS.
- Key involvement in the development of ERP / IT systems.
- Documentation of support processes and procedures.
- Ensure full VAT and CIS compliance.
- Interest in and experience in commercial / project accounting and management reporting.
- Genuine desire to work across disciplines (Commercial, Construction & Group Finance).
- Studying towards a recognised Finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA).
- Accurate and numerate, highly computer literate including Advanced Excel.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience operating variants of Microsoft Dynamics NAV platforms.
- Knowledge of JET reporting.
- Relevant industry or PE experience.
- Experience of change management - introduction of new systems and processes.
This role will be based in our Swanley office, with occasional travel to other Property Services offices. The successful candidate will be required to comply with our homeworking rules and may be required to travel for up to 2-3 days per month.
