Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patients to reach their full potential and achieve their occupational therapy goals.

Main Duties of the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to patients in treatment and rehabilitative programmes, accompanying staff on home assessments, environmental assessments, and fitting equipment where necessary. You will also work closely with the occupational therapy team to develop and implement individualised care plans.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have good communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as good organisational skills and time management. Basic IT skills are also essential, and you will need to be able to work well in a team atmosphere. The role does involve physical activity, so fitness to assist in manual handling of patients is a must.
