Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Haematologist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with lymphoid malignancies and contributing to the development of haematology services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision of junior medical staff and contribute to the development of haematology services.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide 24-hour, 7-day-a-week cover for the unit.
  • Contribute to departmental research interests and publish research findings.
  • Take an active role in the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of the department's business plan.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs for junior staff and contribute to the development of haematology services.
Person Specification
  • Registerable medical qualification and full MRCP and FRCPath or equivalent.
  • Wide experience in all aspects of haematology, culminating in award of Certificate of Completion of Training by GMC, or award of Certificate of Eligibility for Specialty Registration (CESR) by GMC.
  • Leadership experience at consultant level and experience in day-to-day organisation of haematology services in a busy Teaching Hospital.
