We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Porter to join our team at Blue Arrow. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen team in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment to ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Assist the head chef and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and marinating meats.
- Ensure all areas of the kitchen are kept tidy and organized, including storage areas and walk-in refrigerators.
- Participate in cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, including floors, walls, and equipment.
- Assist with receiving and storing food and supply deliveries.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably as a kitchen porter or similar role.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow health and safety protocols.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as pots and pans.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings and afternoons.
