About the Position

Mego Employment Ltd's client in Plymouth is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Specialist to maintain and improve plant equipment and machinery. As a key member of the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes and minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair plant equipment and machinery to prevent downtime and optimize production.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment failure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions.
Requirements
  • Professional mechanical qualification and experience.
  • Expertise in machinery hydraulics, pneumatics, steam systems, and maintenance programs.
  • Experience with fault-finding CNC controls and ladder programs (preferred).
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of PLC systems and hands-on experience working with CNC machines. A strong communication skillset is essential for engaging with colleagues at various levels. The successful applicant will also be confident in leading projects and driving them to successful completion. This role involves alternating shifts from 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00 Monday to Friday.

The estimated salary for this position is £48,000 - £58,000 per annum, depending on experience. Mego Employment Ltd operates as both an employment agency for permanent staff and an employment business for temporary workers.
