Regulatory Risk Consultant

Nationwide Building Society is seeking a Regulatory Risk Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Retail Risk function, you will be responsible for providing regulatory risk expertise and ensuring the effective implementation of risk management strategies.

This role involves working closely with business teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with regulatory changes. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe risk environment, completing risk assessments, and supporting risk reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing regulatory risk expertise, objective advice, and actionable insight to one or more teams within Retail Services.
  • Completing risk assessments across the range of risk categories.
  • Staying abreast of regulatory and legislative change which may impact the risk environment, working with risk owners to ensure appropriate steps are in place to mitigate future risk.

About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented individual with great stakeholder, influencing, and time management skills. You will have experience working in a first-line risk environment within financial services, providing accurate, expert pragmatic risk advice. A logical, inquisitive mind with the ability to be objective and cut through complexity is essential.

Our ideal candidate will have demonstrable working experience curating reports for senior stakeholders, strong relationship management, communication, and influencing skills to help build trust and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders across all levels of the society and externally.

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
