Job Title: Financial Support Specialist

\

This is a finance role where you will be working in Taunton. As a Financial Support Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to administer financial transactions for the company.

\

Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Paying mileage claims and other expenses\
  • Setting up carers bank details for payment\
  • Checking payments and ensuring accurate reconciliation\
  • Paying invoices on time\
  • Administering Imprest (petty cash) account and Voluntary fund - banking, preparing cash payments for collection and weekly reconciliation\
  • Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions\
  • Monitoring financial transactions and identifying potential issues\
  • Ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures\
  • Providing excellent customer service and support to colleagues\
  • Banking operations and assisting with budgeting and forecasting\
  • Developing and implementing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy\
  • Collaborating with the team to achieve financial goals\
  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices\
  • Fulfilling ad-hoc tasks as required by management\
  • Maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency while working under pressure\
  • Solving complex problems and making sound financial decisions\
  • Working closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting\
  • Preparing and submitting reports to management\
  • Participating in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge\
  • Supporting the implementation of new financial systems and processes\
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of existing financial processes and suggesting improvements\
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by management\
  • Required to work one day a week in the office and two days a week when providing leave/sickness cover\
  • Estimated salary: £11.79 per hour\
