Domestic Crisis Intervention Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Domestic Abuse Caseworker. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse in the Swansea area.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in social care, with experience in working with vulnerable adults and children. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and stakeholders.
This is a full-time position, working 35 hours per week, with a salary of £28,500 per annum. You will also receive a range of benefits, including a generous annual leave package, pension, and life assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis intervention and support to service users
- Assess and identify risks and needs of service users
- Signpost and support women and their families to relevant agencies
- Promote the service and its work
- Undertake training and development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- SafeLives IDVA training certificate or equivalent experience
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
- Understanding of child protection issues and safeguarding
- Experience in engaging with external agencies
- Strong crisis management and communication skills
