We are seeking a friendly and reliable Personal Assistant to provide support inside the home for 7 hours a week at £11.68 per hour.

Job Purpose:

Our client is a lady who requires assistance with domestic care and to support her daughter who has additional needs. Due to a health condition, she struggles with her balance and requires someone to assist her with cleaning high and low to reach areas, including floors, shower tray, under her daughter's bed, curtains, and other areas. She also requires someone who can assist her with ironing and vacuuming the stairs.

Our client's daughter suffers from incontinence, and on occasion, she will require someone to assist in cleaning the bathroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assisting with general household cleaning, particularly high and low to reach areas.
  2. Ironing.
  3. Vacuuming the stairs.
  4. Cleaning after incontinence problems on occasion.
  5. Occasional meal preparation.

These duties may vary from day to day. Any other reasonable duties that may be necessary.

Person Specification:

We are looking for a female Personal Assistant who is friendly, caring, reliable, trustworthy, and able to work to her own initiative. Experience within a family set-up is essential.

Preferred qualifications include being a non-smoker.

Terms and Conditions:
  1. The rate of pay for this position is £11.68 per hour.
  2. You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
  3. Access to free Care Skills training for employed workers.
  4. Hours and days of work: 7 hours a week, ideally Monday and Friday mornings. This is open to some negotiation at interview.

The post is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, satisfactory references from two referees, and completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
