Nursery Cook Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nursery Cook to join our team at BeBright Bunnies. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious meals for our under-fives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all children's dietary needs are met, taking into account any allergies or special requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and health and safety in the kitchen, adhering to our nutritional guidance for under-fives.
  • Undertake daily cleaning schedules, including mopping, sweeping, wiping surfaces, and cleaning cookers, kitchen equipment, crockery, and cutlery.
  • Keep accurate records and paperwork up to date.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, using your initiative to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year's experience working in a catering environment, preferably in early years settings.
  • Excellent understanding of food hygiene standards and allergens.
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification.
  • Knowledge and awareness of Health and Safety requirements.
