As a Medical Retina/Injection Fellow, you will play a key role in supporting the Injection service and gaining clinical experience in contemporary techniques related to Medical Retina.

Main Duties

We are seeking an enthusiastic Ophthalmologist to join our team and take up the position of Medical Retina Fellow. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your clinical skills and expertise in Medical Retina, while contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Person Specification

Essential

  • A minimum of 3 years experience
  • GMC Registration with license to practise

Desirable

  • Higher degree (PhD or MD)
  • Ophthalmology Fellowship

Experience

Essential

  • Competent in intravitreal injections
  • Competent in assessing retinal disease and using OCT scans/ fluorescein angiograms
  • Competent in managing general ophthalmic and acute ophthalmic conditions

Desirable

  • Competent in retinal lasers
  • Competent in management of ocular trauma(surgical)
  • Competent cataract surgeon
