Main Duties

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to take up the position of Medical Retina Specialist. This role offers clinical experience and training opportunities in contemporary techniques related to Medical Retina. The successful candidate will be expected to take part in research projects, continuing education, professional development, and audit opportunities.

Person Specification

Essential

  • A minimum of 3 years experience
  • GMC Registration with license to practise

Desirable

  • Higher degree (PhD or MD)
  • Ophthalmology Fellowship

Experience

Essential

  • Competent in intravitreal injections
  • Competent in assessing retinal disease and using OCT scans/ fluorescein angiograms
  • Competent in managing general ophthalmic and acute ophthalmic conditions

Desirable

  • Competent in retinal lasers
  • Competent in management of ocular trauma(surgical)
  • Competent cataract surgeon
