Swindon, Swindon, United Kingdom Nationwide Building Society Full time

Nationwide Building Society is the world's largest building society, with a relationship with almost a quarter of the UK's population. We have over 15 million customers and offer a range of financial services. As a Technical Lead for Document Management, you will be responsible for shaping up the Document management platform, which comes under Servicing Communications.

This group is part of the Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDFT) and the overall COO team in Nationwide. Our Engineering Leads are team players with great technical understanding, comfortable managing technical requirements on or offshore. You will work with colleagues across the society to deliver the Servicing Comms for Nationwide.

We are looking for an Engineering Lead with passion, creativity, determination, and enthusiasm to help us uncover the best ways of delivering value in the future. Our teams are close-knit, friendly, and sociable, working alongside experts in digital, banking, security, risk, and card services, as well as colleagues who understand how our branch systems work and how to deliver exceptional service.

As a Technical Lead, you will need to have significant track record of end-to-end technical understanding, knowledge, and optimization of an organization's technology platform or platforms in Financial Services or other similar regulated sectors. This includes hands-on experience with Macro4 Columbus DW, Columbus Explorer, Columbus Configure, and Columbus File API. You should also have experience with decompressing data from Columbus instances using PSTool Kit and modifying it.

Experience with Ricoh AVE tool to reindex and edit AFP files and build capability to mask sensitive data is also required. Additionally, you should have extensive programming knowledge in Windows PowerShell, Linux shell scripting, and Python. Experience with IBM CMOD/ODWEK design and development, DB2 configuration, and handling issues is necessary. Pacemaker HA cluster hosted application, DevOps, CICD, and experience with AWS/Azure Cloud data engineering services are also required.

Strong reporting and communication skills are essential, as you will be able to handle several tasks on various projects at the same time. We understand that learning is essential for growth, so we provide access to Pluralsight and Degreed courses, regular training courses, and time to learn. There are opportunities to teach as well.

In this role, you can expect to earn an estimated salary of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. As a bonus, you will receive a personal pension scheme, life assurance worth 8x your salary, and access to annual performance-related bonuses. You will also enjoy 25 days' holiday, pro-rata, and a great selection of additional benefits through our salary sacrifice scheme.

Nationwide offers a highly competitive range of benefits to match its rewarding career experiences. When you work at Nationwide, you can experience the difference for yourself. You will be part of a high-performing, purpose-driven organization that seeks to reach more people in the UK. We want everyone to know that they don't have to bank with a bank; they can choose a modern mutual instead.
