Clinical Psychologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join our Partnership team at Central Manchester CAMHS. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality specialist psychology assessment and intervention to young people referred to our service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and intervene with children, teenagers, and young adults, and their families
  • Work collaboratively with schools, colleges, and other community-based professionals
  • Provide consultation, support, and psychological advice to colleagues and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of an evidence base for relevant conditions and outcomes affecting patients treated by our services
  • Support the development of staff training and professional development opportunities
Person Specification
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Significant experience of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties
  • Relevant experience and training in multi-disciplinary assessments of neurodevelopmental difficulties in children and adolescents
  • Proven experience of working effectively with people with mental health difficulties, including autonomous management of a complex caseload
  • Experience of assessing and managing risk, including safeguarding
  • Experience of working with hard-to-reach diverse community groups and individuals with emerging complex needs
